B.Tech is the short form of Bachelor of Technology. B.Tech is an undergraduate academic degree offered in India which focuses mainly on Engineering and Technology. It is generally a 4-year course. Minimum Qualification Required for B.Tech. Admission
Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects from any recognized university:
- Chemistry

- Biology
Minimum Qualification Required for B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission
Candidates must have passed the three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the appropriate branch of engineering/technology in the aggregate of all semesters.
B.Tech. Course Duration
B.Tech is a four-year graduate degree course and the duration of the B.Tech. course is three years after Diploma in Engineering.
B.Tech. Admission 2018
Admission to B.Tech. is done through entrance exam (JEE, IIT, and AIEEE) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). the exam is conducted in the month of May or June and forms for the same are available online.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination. In order to take admission in the B.Tech course, students must appear for the entrance exam. After the exam, B.Tech. result 2018 is announced along with merit list. Students can check their rank on the official website of JEE Main Portal.
