Banasthali University is a women's university which was established in 1935 by the first Chief Minister of state of Rajasthan "Pandit Hiralal Shastri" and Ratan Shastri. The main campus of the University is located in the Tonk district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. In 1983, The University was declared as a deemed university by the UGC. Banasthali University was ranked Ist among top universities of Rajasthan in 2012. It has been accredited with the highest grade "A" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The University has 31 hostels in its main campus with 80-120 rooms in each hostel. Banasthali University is known for its higher education.
