ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery. ANM is a 2 years long Diploma program related to the field of Nursing. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to the patient and maintain records. The course main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people. ANM course may also be offered on a part-time basis in some institutes. The average tuition fee charged for the ANM in India ranges between INR 10,000 and 5 lacs. 

Eligibility Criteria for ANM Admission

The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of 10+2, 10th class or Central Board of Secondary Education or a recognized equivalent public examination. Subjects of study must be equivalent to those prescribed by the CBSE for the class 12th with minimum 45 percent marks.

The marks of admission for this course may vary from institute to institute. Usually, it is around 40-50% marks.

Age Limit for ANM Admission In India

The students must be at least 17 years of age. The student must not be more than 35 years of age.

ANM Course Duration

The duration of the course is two year. The duration of the course varies for different institutes, It often ranges from 1 to 3 academic years.

ANM Admission Process

The selection of the students is done on the basis of their marks scored by them in 10+2 board examination. In some reputed institutes, private screening tests and interviews are also used in the admission process.

Few top ranking institutes also provide admission based on the candidate's performance in the entrance test.
