ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute. It is is the favorable course for the students who are interested in technical fields. ITI courses are the best way to learn any vocational skills. It is not necessary that everyone has to be a doctor or an IIT engineer. You can also be a  technician or a mechanic. If you don’t have to pursue higher education then you go for a diploma in various ITI courses. Minimum Qualification Required for ITI Admission

Candidates have to pass the 8th class or 12th from any recognized Board. As per the rules of the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training),  this course is also applicable from age limit of 14 to 40 years.

ITI Course Duration

ITI course's duration could be anywhere between 6 (Six) months to 2 (Two)  years. Course duration depends upon the type and nature of the course.

ITI Admission 2018

As per the recommendation of NCVT, Admission to ITI  is to be made purely on merit based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the public examination as per the minimum qualification prescribed for the individual trade. Wherever, there is no public examination at the minimum qualification level, admission may be made on the marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination conducted by the State  Directorate for the purpose of admission.

ITI Career Opportunities

Candidates after completing ITI have both academic and job oriented prospects to continue with. Candidates who have passed ITI can go for specialized short-term courses in Advanced Training Institute (ATI) or they can also apply for higher studies like Diploma in Engineering. Also, Aspirants have ample opportunities in private sector as well. Also, ITI  qualified people can set their own business like can open winding shops,  can start motor garage or repairing workshops, can operate generators etc. Skilled workers also have bright opportunities in foreign countries.

ITI Job Scope

After completing ITI candidates can undergo Apprenticeship training in different industries. There is a lot of Government and Private job opportunities after completion of ITI. So many government job companies are looking for the ITI tradesman in their companies as they have a lot of skill and practical experience.
