Berhampur University is a public state university located in Brahmapur, Odisha, India. The campus of the university is spread over 250 acres of land. It is recognized by the UGC under section 2 (f) of UGC Act 1956 and also accredited with "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The campus of the university was shifted to the present site known as Bhanja Bihar, named after the celebrated poet of Orissa Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanja. There are 11 government colleges, 62 private colleges and 26 professional colleges affiliated to the Berhampur University. Berhampur University Admission Notifications
Berhampur University offers admissions to the Research programs i.e., Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in over 16 different disciplines for the academic session of this year. Candidates can send their duly filled in application form to the University Admission Office through Registered or Speed Post only.

Berhampur University M.Phil Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must possess a master's degree or any other equivalent examination in the relevant specialization with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST category candidates) marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Duration of the M.Phil course is 1 year.
Berhampur University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate must possess a master's degree or any other equivalent examination in the relevant specialization with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST category candidates) marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- College teachers and professionals with at least 48% marks at master’s level and with 15 years of experience are eligible to apply for admission in the Ph.D. programme.
Berhampur University Admission Procedure
The Selection of the candidate to Programme is done on the basis of URET entrance test followed by an interview conducted by the university.
- Important Note:- At the time of the interview a candidate will have to produce all the original documents before the selection Committee for verification.
Berhampur University Application Process:
The candidates can download the application form from the University Official Website. Take a printout of the downloaded pdf. Fill the application form with correct details. Attach all required documents with the form. Candidates have to send the filled in application form along with the DD to the head of the concerned department.
Note:- The application form must be sent via Speed Post or Registered Post. Application Forms will not be accepted if submitted in person.
