Guru Kashi University - GKU is situated in Bathinda in the Punjab state of India. Established in 2011 by Balaji Education Trust under the “Guru Kashi University Act 2011. Guru Kashi University campus is spread over 50 Acres and all type of  facilities are available such as Hostel, ATM, Canteen, Comp. Lab, Hospital & Banking service for its students. GKU is a residential university with more than 7000 students.

History Of GKU University

In 1998, A school came into existence as GGS Polytechnic College, graduate and post-graduate courses were added, and in 2001 GGS College of Engineering & Technology was established, followed in 2005 by GGS College of Education, in 2006 by GGS Institute of IT and Research, in 2009 the GGS College of Nursing & GGS Collegiate Public School were established. Finally, in 2011 Guru Kashi University was established by Punjab Act No. 37 of 2011.

Eligibility for Ph.D. Admission In GKU, Punjab

·         Applicant must have passed post graduation degree from a recognized university.

·         Applicant must have scored minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation.

·         The interested students who have cleared UGC/CBSE conducted NET/ CSC conducted SET or have passed equivalent examinations or passed the M Phil. or equivalent exam shall not be required to appear at the Ph.D. Entrance (written) test as per Ph.D. new rules 2017.

The Ph.D Course duration is differnt for all different department. The minimum course duration for Doctor of Philosophy is Two years and maximaum is 3 years.
